Desde Villa del Rosario los líderes políticos se comprometieron a restablecer las relaciones bilaterales con Venezuela
La Coalición de la Esperanza, de la que hacen parte Juan Fernando Cristo, Humberto de la Calle, Sergio Fajardo, Juan Manuel Galán y Jorge Robledo, llegó finalmente este jueves a Norte de Santander como parte de las correrías regionales de cara a las elecciones de 2022.
Desde la Casa General Santander en el municipio de Villa del Rosario y en medio de las críticas que desató en redes sociales la presencia de estos líderes políticos en la región, anunciaron su compromiso para restablecer las relaciones con el vecino país.
Y es que, de acuerdo al opinómetro de la ciudadanía en redes sociales, la Coalición de la Esperanza, al igual que los distintos sectores políticos, solo se estaría acordando de la región por las elecciones venideras. Sin embargo, contra todo pronóstico y mediante un comunicado conjunto, esta alianza política que busca promover alternativas distintas al uribismo y al petrismo en nuestro país, aseguró que trabajará por activar los canales diplomáticos y respaldar elecciones libres en Venezuela con observación internacional.
“Nos comprometemos a renunciar a la diplomacia de micrófono y restablecer los canales de comunicación entre Bogotá y caracas, en especial, para atender asuntos binacionales urgentes como la pandemia, la migración y seguridad”, señaló la Coalición.
En ese sentido, rechazaron la solicitud del presidente Iván Duque de incluir a Venezuela en la lista de países promotores del terrorismo. A lo que cabe destacar, fueron declaraciones contraproducentes y lamentables teniendo en cuenta que el mandatario nacional prometió la reapertura de la frontera desde el pasado 1 de junio, pero a la fecha, el anuncio quedó en veremos.
“Esa designación de Venezuela solo serviría para agudizar la polarización interna, dividir a los países interesados en la solución democrática, alimentar los llamados para el uso de la fuerza y cerrar la puerta a una negociación”.
Reapertura de pasos fronterizos
La Coalición precisó que será esencial regular el tránsito de personas, mercancías, bienes y servicios, así como reanudar los servicios consulares colombianos con el fin de atender a los compatriotas que se encuentran en el vecino país.
Además, se comprometieron a proteger los derechos de los migrantes a través del Estatuto de Protección Temporal, asegurando su operatividad y financiamiento.
