EL “INTOCABLE” MIGUEL

El área metropolitana de Cúcuta (AMC) se encuentra sumida en una situación preocupante debido a las múltiples irregularidades cometidas por su director. Este funcionario, cuya gestión debería caracterizarse por la eficiencia y la transparencia, ha demostrado ser todo lo contrario. Tanto así que ha perjudicado y afectado en gran medida la ya escasa imagen positiva que le queda al alcalde Jairo Yáñez y su administración.

Una de las primeras manchas en su expediente es el escandaloso incidente de manejar en estado de embriaguez. Este hecho, que muestra una total falta de responsabilidad y compromiso, ha generado serias dudas sobre la capacidad del director para desempeñar sus funciones de manera adecuada. El alcalde ha defendido a capa y espada la permanencia de este funcionario, generando aún más interrogantes sobre su verdadero compromiso con el bienestar de la comunidad. El señor director salió bien librado. Nunca pidió disculpas por su conducta reprochable, a su vez con la frente en alto, engreído y orgulloso del respaldo de los alcaldes que lo eligieron.

La persistencia del alcalde en mantener al director a pesar de las múltiples solicitudes de cambio deja entrever una relación inusualmente estrecha entre ambos. Según líderes de la ciudadanía, se rumorea que el director del área metropolitana es ficha de un político poderoso, lo que explicaría la férrea defensa que recibe por parte del alcalde. Esta conexión política se convierte en una sombra que se cierne sobre la integridad y la transparencia de la gestión pública, socavando aún más la confianza de los ciudadanos.

Agravando aún más la situación, el alcalde ha decidido delegar la mayoría de la contratación del municipio a este ente, argumentando su desconfianza hacia la secretaria de infraestructura y demás secretarías. Esta decisión resulta alarmante, ya que implica una concentración excesiva de poder en manos de un individuo cuya conducta deja mucho que desear. La falta de transparencia en los procesos de contratación y la posibilidad de favoritismos e irregularidades se convierten en un peligro latente para los recursos públicos y el desarrollo adecuado de la región.

Además, los proyectos de construcción bajo la supervisión de este director han sido marcados por retrasos constantes, gastos inflados y contratistas incumplidos. Los ciudadanos de Cúcuta han sido testigos de cómo las obras que deberían mejorar su calidad de vida se convierten en una pesadilla interminable. Calles sin terminar, obras abandonadas y un sinfín de promesas incumplidas son el resultado de una gestión deficiente y poco responsable.

Si observamos detenidamente las acciones, gestiones, contratos y procesos del área metropolitana de Cúcuta, en su mayoría han sido reprochadas por la ciudadanía. Parece que el director del área metropolitana de Cúcuta, así como la administración del Alcalde Yáñez, trabajan a espaldas de la ciudadanía, alejados de sus necesidades y cerrándoles toda opción de diálogo y comunicación. Desde los pasos peatonales en adoquín hasta el desordenado cambio de rutas del transporte público, pasando por los cierres viales sin consideración alguna, la caótica construcción y rehabilitación de la infraestructura vial en Comuneros y Kennedy, el intento desleal de modificación del pico y placa en la ciudad, la demolición del Centro Integral de Atención a la Familia (CIAF) en el barrio La Libertad, así como los futuros elefantes blancos que quedarán en los corazones de los barrios Scalabrini, La Libertad, Estoraques-Progreso, Niña Ceci y el corregimiento Banco de Arena, los bolardos esparcidos por la ciudad y la falta de asistencia a las convocatorias del concejo municipal; todos estos aspectos son un claro reflejo de la gestión del director del Área Metropolitana y de la confianza parcial y sesgada del alcalde en este funcionario.

De lo que se puede asegurar es que falta poco para que el señor director del Área Metropolitana de Cúcuta se despida de su cargo, al igual que la administración del alcalde Yáñez. Lamentablemente, ambos se despiden misteriosamente enriquecidos, pero con un compromiso enorme hacia la ciudad de Cúcuta, a la cual se negaron a escuchar. Han decepcionado descaradamente a aquellos que les otorgaron su voto de confianza.

La ciudadanía merece líderes comprometidos, íntegros y capacitados que trabajen incansablemente por el bienestar de la comunidad. La gestión ineficiente y plagada de irregularidades del actual director del área metropolitana de Cúcuta no solo es inaceptable, sino también una afrenta a los ciudadanos que confiaron en su capacidad para impulsar el progreso.
