CIBERSEGURIDAD, RIESGOS EN PLENA TRANSFORMACIÓN DIGITAL

El acceso a las tecnologías ha transformado la sociedad actual, las NTIC (Nuevas tecnologías de información y comunicación) han visto un aumento considerable desde el inicio de la pandemia generada por la Covid-19 a nivel mundial, y con la entrada a la cuarta revolución industrial las personas, organizaciones y negocios trasladaron su forma de realizar el trabajo al Home Office o Teletrabajo; es evidente que los riesgos, amenazas y vulnerabilidades informáticas aumentaron. Observando, según estadísticas de ataques cibernéticos recopiladas por Hackmageddon, las campañas de ransomware relacionadas con la pandemia de Covid-19 movieron las motivaciones detrás de los ataques con un aumento del 80,8% en enero, al 88.7% en febrero del 2020; por su parte, el ciberespionaje creció del 8,6% al 10,2% en el mismo lapso de tiempo, mientras que el cyber ​​warfare (guerra informática) y el hacktivismo son tipos de cibercrimen que solo han aumentado en 0,5% cada uno. Cada vez son mejores las técnicas que utilizan los ciberdelincuentes, pues también se ha intensificado el porcentaje de delitos informáticos. Todo colombiano cuenta con un dispositivo electrónico y atentan contra ellos, por ejemplo, en la protección de datos, suplantación de identidad y chantajes, entre otros.

En el contexto colombiano, y en la actualidad con el proceso electoral, en el marco de la contienda para elegir presidente, la desinformación juega un papel importante entre las personas; cadenas de texto, audio o videos que circulan por las diferentes redes sociales (WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, Tiktok, YouTube, Instagram y otras) siendo las redes sociales el quinto poder, constituye un  papel importante al informar, para lo cual la fuente debe ser fidedigna y que respalde la seguridad de la información y del mensaje que se transmite.

Las amenazas pueden darse mediante la infección de dispositivos, mediante malware que la gente puede aceptar por mensajes de texto o chat y también por correos electrónicos desconocidos, descargando un archivo o dando click a un hipervínculo redireccionándolo a una técnica de phishing que es un método para engañarle y hacer que comparta sus contraseñas, números de tarjeta de crédito, y otra información confidencial. Internet no tiene fronteras, por lo que los ciberataques vienen desde cualquier parte del mundo; por eso es importante la revisión de páginas en línea como:  https://cybermap.kaspersky.com/es  para el análisis de las ciberamanezas en tiempo real.

Los ciberdelincuentes comunes o agencias de inteligencia patrocinadas por otros países, podrían acceder a información confidencial y el secuestro de equipos informáticos intercambiando o alterando información, es por ello que las organizaciones deben estar blindadas en políticas de seguridad de la información con base en la norma ISO 27001 y preparados con sus equipos TI y de respuesta a incidentes informáticos. Recordemos que en nuestro país contamos con el comando cibernético en Colombia (COLCert), como lo estableció el Conpes 3701 de 2011 con los lineamientos de ciberseguridad y ciberdefensa.
