Nada en este mundo es eterno. Todo tiene un límite, un fin. Y ese fin, en el caso de los bloqueos derivados de las protestas que se adelantan en el país, desde hace un mes, tiene que llegar pronto. El país, la economía y las ciudades, no pueden seguir bloqueadas por el capricho de unos cuantos que se empeñan en negociar con el Gobierno apelando a las vías de hecho.
En el caso de Norte de Santander, la vía hacia Ocaña y Tibú presenta ahora dos bloqueos. El de los campesinos del Catatumbo que reclaman inversión social para sus municipios y la no fumigación con glifosato de los cultivos de coca presentes en sus comunidades; y el de los campesinos alrededor de este bloqueo, que por las vías de hecho, como aquellos, pretenden cortarles la llegada de suministros, obligándoles a retornar a sus lugares de origen.
Esta situación, que parece sacada de un cuento de ficción, en el que con un bloqueo se pretende levantar otro bloqueo, es el último recurso al que debieron acudir los campesinos para llamar la atención de las autoridades que, convencidas de que con el diálogo iban a poder destrabar las vías, se han quedado cortas y a merced de la voluntad de unos pocos que parecen no tener nada qué perder y por eso son capaces de suspender todo tipo de actividades por un mes para salir a protestar.
Sin embargo, la realidad en el territorio es otra. Los precios de los alimentos están por las nubes, la carne, el pollo y el cerdo están impagables y los campesinos que requieren de suministros para sus cultivos, se sienten luchando contra el tiempo porque, al no poder llevar los insumos que estos requieren, ven cómo con cada día que pasa todo se puede perder, ahondando aún más la crisis que los que protestan pretenden revertir.
Hace una semana elogiábamos la apuesta por el diálogo y la conciliación que ha impuesto el gobernador Silvano Serrano con los manifestantes. Sin embargo, hoy, desde esta columna, también le pedimos al gobernador que contemple otro tipo de acciones para hacer valer los derechos de las comunidades que ya cumplen un mes bloqueadas por quienes creen que por la fuerza van a lograr imponer sus argumentos.
En El Santanderista apoyamos el derecho a la protesta y creemos que algunas de las reivindicaciones que los manifestantes reclaman, no solo son válidas sino necesarias para que Colombia pueda ser un país más justo. Pero también creemos que, como todo en la vida, debe haber un límite y, en este caso, el tiempo de los bloqueos ya fue suficiente y las autoridades deben garantizar la libre movilidad de las personas que se sienten presas en sus casas y negocios.
