Empezó la revocatoria

Por las redes sociales de algunos periodistas, líderes políticos y sociales, y también, hay que decirlo, de personas comunes y corrientes, el tema de la revocatoria del alcalde Jairo Yáñez ha ido tomando cada vez más fuerza y, aunque aún falten varios meses para que se pueda iniciar con la misma de manera oficial, es innegable que sus promotores ya están trabajando en ella e, incluso, ya tienen posibles fuentes de financiación.

En las calles de Cúcuta es un secreto a voces que uno de los principales promotores de la revocatoria es el actual representante a la Cámara, Alejandro Carlos Chacón quien, a través de varios de sus hombres de confianza, entre los que se cuenta Jaime Vásquez (así ambos lo nieguen), ha ido metiendo cada vez más en las discusiones públicas el tema.

Los promotores de la revocatoria ya empezaron a repartir en los barrios las hojas para recoger las firmas, a través de los líderes de Ramiro Suárez, bajo figuras que, en un principio, no apuntan directamente al tema de sacar de la Alcaldía a Yáñez.

Algunas de estas hojas en las que se piden las firmas buscan lograr el apoyo ciudadano para otras causas (mejoramiento de la atención en salud, reclamos por los cobros excesivos en los servicios públicos y luchar contra la delincuencia desbordada, entre otras), confundiendo a los firmantes que, convencidos de que están apoyando alguna de estas iniciativas, lo que están haciendo realmente es entregándole su consentimiento a los promotores de la revocatoria para que su nombre sea usado con este fin.

Y si bien no se puede satanizar la revocatoria, tampoco se puede desconocer que varios de los sectores que están detrás de la misma lo único que buscan es retomar el poder de la contratación municipal y la carga burocrática que perdieron el 27 de octubre frente a un candidato que vino de menos a más y les arrebató el sartén que tenían por el mango.

A Jairo Yáñez y a su gabinete se les está haciendo tarde para empezar a hacerle frente a un tema que, quiéranlo o no, se les va a imponer en la agenda el próximo año. Y a su tardanza para reaccionar se suman la crisis que, aunque pretendan negar, vive su gabinete afectado por las renuncias de varios de sus secretarios en apenas 8 meses, y una desconexión con la ciudadanía que cada día se desencanta más de un proyecto que irrumpió en la escena política como el salvador que todos esperábamos, pero que con el paso de los meses parece estar siendo absorbido por aquello que tanto juró atacar.
