LA EDUCACIÓN HÍBRIDA, UNA APUESTA FUERA DE CONTEXTO

En reciente artículo publicado en Las 2 Orillas del 21 de febrero, titulado “El Plan de Desarrollo llega con revolcón para los profesores”, en el que se mencionan iniciativas como la educación híbrida, los jóvenes voluntarios y cambios en la administración del fondo del magisterio, llama poderosamente la atención la primera, porque hablar de “educación hibrida” en un país donde la capacidad instalada en términos de conectividad no alcanza el 50% del territorio nacional, pareciera un “Cuento de hadas”

El texto explica que el MEN “tendrá que adecuar la educación básica y media para desarrollar e implementar este modelo”. Dicho Modelo “ha sido defendido con el argumento de que se debe acercar las nuevas tecnologías a los estudiantes y facilitar las condiciones de jóvenes que viven lejos de donde estudian”. Ahora, acercamiento a las nuevas tecnologías, bienvenido, “facilitar” las condiciones a quienes viven lejos, por favor, ¿Cómo llevamos las sesiones síncronas y asíncronas a los rincones del país o incluso de las grandes ciudades, donde la señal no llega?, ¿Los que “viven lejos” tienen un computador (Tablet o cualquier dispositivo), Wifi y llega la señal?.

Oh, ¿estarán pensando sólo en la reducción de docentes al privilegiar la virtualidad? ¿Será que esto mejora la calidad de la educación o simplemente vamos derecho a un abismo sin retorno donde se agrave aún más la tan marcada brecha de aprendizajes consecuencia de los tiempos de pandemia?

O el de un estudiante que pasado un mes, no se reportaba a su maestra, quien luego de un exhaustivo rastreo logra contactar a la madre y ésta le informa que no han podido cumplir con las tareas porque su único celular fue vendido para comprar algo de comida.

Ese es el panorama en muchas instituciones en la que tenemos la ilusión de apostarle a un amplio uso de las TIC sin ningún reparo, pero no hay internet o lo poco que hay, apenas da a vasto para las actividades administrativas y limitadamente a algo de señal para el aula de informática. Sumado a esto, los equipos que Computadores para Educar ha donado, ya se pueden clasificar como obsoletos, incluso un mes después de haber sido recibidos. Pues se trata de equipos ensamblados con mínimos estándares de calidad en términos de software y hardware, cuya capacidad de memoria, velocidad de procesamiento u operatividad es tremendamente limitada.

A manera de chiste, ocurrió alguna vez que Computadores para Educar llegó con Pompos y Platillos a una zona rural, para llevar la tecnología a los lugares más apartados de Colombia y en medio de la algarabía, le preguntan a la maestra de dicho lugar, que “por qué no se veía alegre porque le habían llegado los computadores con los que podría trabajar de una manera más didáctica e innovadora con sus estudiantes” y la respuesta los dejó atónitos, “porque en esta escuela no hay luz, entonces cómo voy a encenderlos”. Y es que no hay nada más nefasto que diseñar “rutas” desde un escritorio en Bogotá, sin conocer el territorio en el que se va a implementar, pues suele suceder que la “pieza” no “calza” y terminan “acomodando” de manera arbitraria e improvisada el error.

Si bien es cierto, la Pandemia desafió al magisterio colombiano y de todo el mundo a superar el analfabetismo digital, conectarse a la web de manera permanente, contratar un mejor servicio de internet para poder llegar a los estudiantes, diseñar contenidos, ser más creativo y cada vez más interactivo, aun hace falta superar grandes brechas en cuanto a capacidad instalada de la red, dotación institucional e infraestructura.

Recordando a Freire en Pedagogía de la Autonomía 2004 y sobre la afirmación de que “No hay docencia sin dicencia”, él nos insta que enseñar exige investigación, es decir, “No hay enseñanza sin investigación ni investigación sin enseñanza” y en ese sentido, está en manos de los maestros sistematizar sus prácticas pedagógicas y someterlas a escrutinio, para construir un panorama futuro en el que desde la escuela se construya, deconstruya y reconstruya la sociedad, lo cual incluye hablar de educación híbrida, pero dadas las condiciones, pues la propuesta del Ministerio no se suprime a hablar de “Modelo” sin tener los recursos necesarios para su implementación.
