Luego de la sorpresiva jornada electoral que dejó en la recta final a Rodolfo Hernández y a Gustavo Petro, el chofer de nuestro bus aprovechó el paso de su ruta por varios mentideros políticos locales. La política local está a la espera de la definición del próximo presidente de la República, ya que sus principales actores hacen cálculos dependiendo de quién será el próximo presidente de la república.

Uno de los que más suena para aspirar en las próximas elecciones locales es el concejal Leonardo Jácome. Mientras que hace unos meses se decía que quería poner su nombre en consideración para la gobernación del departamento, varios pasajeros de nuestro bus nos informan que la aspiración sería a la alcaldía de Cúcuta. Por el lado del grupo del Senador Juan Carlos García y sus amigos, lo estarían impulsando a tomar esta decisión.

La primera vuelta presidencial estaría marcando la pauta de estas decisiones. Al quedar por fuera de la baraja Fico, hay quienes dicen esto precipitaría el regreso de William Villamizar a la arena política, a buscar la gobernación por tercera ocasión. Esto teniendo en cuenta que no se cumplieron los objetivos a los que aspiraba Villamizar, ya que, si Fico era elegido, este probablemente hubiese optado por ocupar un alto cargo en la esfera nacional dada su buena relación con el ex candidato paisa. Ante los resultados, esto obliga a re barajar de nuevo y volver a mirar las elecciones locales.

Uno de los afectados de darse estos movimientos políticos y aspiraciones sería el concejal y ex candidato a la alcaldía Jorge Acevedo. Lo anterior, porque la presencia de Leonardo Jácome en la contienda, dividiría los votos de varios aliados de Acevedo. Este punto no está muy claro, pero lo cierto es que Acevedo se anda moviendo porque no quiere quedar por fuera de la contienda Y menos antes de que empiece.

Por el lado de la gobernación, uno que ya empezó a recorrer el departamento mostrando su probable aspiración es Gregorio “Goyo” Angarita, quien de concretar este interés debería renunciar a Corponor en los próximos meses para no inhabilitarse. Ante el nuevo posible interés de William en volverse a lanzar, habría que ver qué decisión toma Goyo, y si decide enfrentarse al dos veces ex gobernador, o si prefiere mantenerse marginado de la contienda y terminar su periodo al frente de la corporación ambiental.

Otros que ya calientan motores, son varios secretarios de la administración municipal. En la última semana se conoció de un evento organizado en el bar “Casa Central”, que tenía como fin tomarse una cerveza y escuchar una charla del ex candidato verde a la alcaldía de Pamplona Santiago Burbano. Varios pasajeros de nuestro bus sostienen que estas reuniones buscan consolidar un movimiento que defienda las ideas y el movimiento de Jairo Yáñez. Habría que ver si este movimiento logra solidificarse y escoger por unanimidad un heredero. Varios en este momento asoman la cabeza, pero aún no con la suficiente fuerza.
