Muchos se frotan las manos, otros hacen oraciones, hay algunos que parecen ‘Santa Claus’ repartiendo dinero, en fin; son varias las facetas que los candidatos a la Gobernación de Norte de Santander muestran por estos días en sus diferentes campañas políticas, un ejercicio que renace cada cuatro años y que se extingue tan pronto son elegidos o ‘quemados’.
Por estos días es normal ver videos y fotos con abrazos, bailes, promesas, propuestas ilógicas y una que otra estrategia por parte de los equipos políticos a fin de conquistar los votos que les permita ubicarse en el segundo piso de la Cúpula Chata.
Pero más allá de lo patéticos que parecen la mayoría de candidatos, debemos conocer varios de los actos que estas personas han adelantado en su carrera pública y privada, y que deben estar en la mente de los electores al momento de decidir cuál de las ocho opciones en el tarjetón es la mejor para Norte de Santander.
Comencemos por La W, y no es precisamente la red de emisoras de Prisa Media, se trata del exgobernador de Norte de Santander William Villamizar Laguado, quien se cansó de gobernar en cuerpo ajeno con Édgar Díaz (2012-2015) y Silvano Serrano (2020-2023) y ahora quiere tomar el toro por los cuernos para evitar que sus súbditos adquieran más poder que él.
‘Por amor a nuestra gente del Norte’ es el movimiento que lo impulsa, un amor que ya ha tenido dos rupturas con graves señalamientos sobre la desviación de recursos a través de una empresa paralela creada para contratar en la Gobernación. Además del movimiento de amor, Villamizar Laguado recibió el coaval de los Partidos Conservador, Liberal, La U, Cambio Radical, ¡hágame el bendito favor!, es decir, el coctel de la politiquería se juntó para no soltar el poder en el departamento.
En contienda también aparece el exalcalde de Los Patios, Diego González, quien adelanta su campaña bajo el lema ‘Los buenos somos más’. Cabe destacar que, a priori, González es el candidato más fuerte que tiene como contrincante William Villamizar Laguado en este momento, pues detrás de esta campaña hay varios ‘Caciques’ en cuerpo ajeno que buscan dejar sin el botín a Villamizar.
Y es que en los corrillos políticos es común el comentario respecto al acaparamiento de contratos y puesto de trabajo que tiene Villamizar, pues hay una clase política jugando a tirar la moneda a dos caras, a fin de hacer el jaque mate a La W, eso sí, con una distribución de los recursos que poco aportará al desarrollo del departamento.
En los corrillos también se habla del plan B de Villamizar Laguado, el cual es el actual diputado Jhon Edison Ortega, quien bajo el movimiento ‘Un Nuevo Norte’ es el as debajo de la manga por si se reactivan las investigaciones de William y lo obligan a dar un paso al costado en pro de su aspiración al tercer periodo.
Las otras opciones que aparecerán en el tarjetón son Marlon Chacón (Nueva Fuerza Democrática), José Gregorio Botello (Nuevo Liberalismo), el empresario Juan Gabriel Baca (‘Hagamos empresa, unidos ganamos todos’, en coalición con el Partido Liga de Gobernantes Anticorrupción), Jorge Eduardo Mora López (Centro Democrático y Salvación Nacional) y Ramón Elí Támara (Partido Esperanza Democrática).
Si se analiza el tarjetón, para las elecciones del 29 de octubre habrá ocho candidatos, cuatro más que los presentados en la contienda anterior, cuando estuvieron, además de Silvano Serrano; Martín Martínez, Ramiro Luna y Juan Carlos García-Herreros. Lo cierto es que hay mucho ‘cacique’ y poco ‘indio’ en el camino a la Gobernación, cargo que debe servir para coordinar el desarrollo del departamento y no los negocios sucios de la política de los últimos años en Norte de Santander.
